to work collaboratively with each client to discover and nurture their passions as the means of healing to become their most actualized and peaceful selves.
“But what is happiness except the simple harmony between a man and the life he leads?” – Albert Camus
is to be a guide to navigating the self as we collaboratively seek meaning and find healing.
Clients say our work together is distinguished by our sessions not being confined to a particular theoretical orientation, but integrating multidisciplinary perspectives and approaches best suited for each client’s needs.
Identifying the “how” of healing in equal measure with nurturing the “why” that is unique to each individual.

Trauma-Informed & Trauma-Responsive Care
I have experience working with clients across the lifespan, but I have significant experience with youth and teenagers. The focus of my career has been helping people move beyond the unwanted effects of trauma in their life while discovering the aspects of their life which bring meaning.
My approach to trauma recovery maintains a holistic view of the person and remains informed by the intersections of systems and cultures that affect the individual, and that can be supports for healing.

A client-centered curiosity surrounding the nature of what you’re struggling with and your unique strengths and beliefs we can use to overcome it.
Overcoming adverse childhood experiences and struggles with addiction while finding meaning and purpose in the life constructed beyond what happened to us.
I remain steadfastly rooted in the client’s strengths and meaning as the goal and means through which individual liberation can be actualized. Learning new ways to approach life free from some of trauma’s effects can be a difficult process. By centering my approach on clarifying and nurturing the patient’s passions along with their values in the course of this healing, the motivation to maintain the work through the hard times is increased, and the life created through your work is more meaningful.
I have experienced in my own life the ways therapy can unburden someone and open up paths through life they never thought possible, it is my life’s passion to share that experience and help others heal.
Together we will use evidence based modalities as well as dynamic approaches from across disciplines to align the values you hold with the life you live.
I achieved sobriety over a decade ago and began to work in community mental health shortly thereafter. I found great meaning in this work and quickly decided that helping others heal in a similar way that I was able to would be my life’s purpose. I have since spent ten years doing direct care mental health work across a wide variety of populations, and am committed to always growing as a clinician.
In my career I have worked in jail deferment programs, with youth and families who are in the foster care system, in inpatient psychiatric facilities, and in the traditional one on one counseling role. In each of these roles I always retained my focus on bringing to the forefront each client’s joy and strengths while we overcome what has been hindering them. I have never looked at someone I worked with as a diagnosis or a set of treatment goals, but as a unique and holistic human being who brings strengths, priorities, and meaning all their own to our sessions.
I received a BA in English from Portland State University in 2012 and a Masters in Social Work from Portland State in 2025. In my ten years doing direct care work I have received extensive training in Trauma Informed Care, mindfulness based CBT, Collaborative Problem Solving, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral models of trauma recovery.
For much of my career I worked in settings such as jail deferment programs and inpatient psychiatric clinics with patients who were not meeting with me voluntarily. In order to help these people who may have held heavy skepticism surrounding the efficacy of counseling at all, I developed a very client centered approach that focuses on each person’s strengths, goals, and interests to deliver care. By combining aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy with existential and psychodynamic approaches my sessions are geared towards reducing symptoms while increasing strengths, connections, and meaning.
